The new book “Do More Faster: Techstars Lessons To Accelerate Your Startup” is currently available for pre-order, and should be shipping from all major publishers (Amazon, Borders, B&N, etc) by October 15th. To celebrate the book, Brad Feld and I are embarking on a month long 12 city book tour around the country (full list of cities here). While some days of the tour will be slightly different, the basic format is as follows:

Pitch More Faster
Several emerging local companies will present their companies to Brad Feld and local guest VCs which vary by city. Brad and the other VCs will provide *direct* and *specific* advice to each company on how to improve their pitch and/or their business. It’s a great way to learn from some of the most “pitched” VCs in the world, and to learn how to make your own company and presentation more compelling.

Techstars for an Hour
Techstars co-founders David Cohen and Brad Feld will hold a one hour “About Techstars” meetup. If you’re interested in learning more about Techstars or possibly applying, this is a great chance to come and hear from the co-founders of Techstars. We’ll talk about the results so far, what it’s all about, how it works, and much more. The event is also great for angel investors and venture capitalists who would like to learn more about how the Techstars program works, and how to get involved.

Angels in the Architecture
Brad Feld, David Cohen, and several other local angels will discuss “Angels in the Architecture”. They’ll be joined by several local angel backed entrepreneurs, many of whom may be Techstars graduates. The group will discuss the role of angels in the VC ecosystem, pitfalls and issues.

Nightly Meetup
Each night of the tour, there will be a large and open meetup with a local organizer leading the charge.

We’re doing this in Palo Alto, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boulder, Denver, Boston, New York, DC, Chicago, San Antonio, San Diego, and Raleigh. We may add more cities in early 2011.

Here are the dates and cities. If you click on the link, you can subscribe to updates using Plancast. In order to attend the daytime events (Pitch More Faster, Techstars for an Hour, or Angels In The Architecture) you’ll eventually need to register for them individually. However, by subscribing to the plancast for that city now, you’ll be notified when those registrations become available.

Here are some of the upcoming events (full list here).

The Do More Faster book tour and all associated events are generously sponsored by Cooley, Silicon Valley Bank, Microsoft, and The Rackspace Cloud.

We hope to see you in one of these cities sometime over the next month. If you bring your copy of Do More Faster to the event, we’d be honored to scribble our names in it for you if you’d like!
