From Mongolia to Iran to cities in the U.S. like New York, Kansas City, and San Francisco, Startup Weekend has surfaced all over the globe as a leading force in the grassroots development of entrepreneurship and startup ecosystems around the world.  As a democratizer of entrepreneurship, Startup Weekend makes entrepreneurship accessible to anyone, whether they come from a rural community in Uganda or a bustling metropolis on the East Coast. Startup Weekend is positioned to impact lives on every corner of the globe by offering self-empowerment as the greatest possible sustaining tool for individuals and communities. – NYSE Press Release

In the last three years, nearly 100,000 entrepreneurs have participated in Startup Weekend in over 100 countries globally.  Startup Weekend alumni have collectively raised over $75 Million for new ventures and created thousands of new jobs all over the world.

CEO and Co-Founder Marc Nager says, “More than anything, this is a tribute to our organizers around the globe, the incredible work of our core team & to those who have helped us get to where we are, so thank you!”

The entire crew at headquarters is proud to be witnesses this exciting event, but the thanks is truly due to the passionate Organizers who made today possible.  Without committed Organizers, Startup Weekend would just be an idea or far-off vision, but the strong community of global volunteers who believe in this grassroots mission make everything possible.
