EventVue closes Series A round

812_eventvue.jpgEventVue is one of the ten TechStars teams from this summer, and it provides a set of tools for conference organizers that enhance community and drives more registrations to the conference. This works on a success fee basis, so EventVue only gets paid when they drive incremental registrations to the conference. Think of it as social marketing of the conference. Since most of us go to conferences largely for the networking opportunities, this just makes sense.

EventVue integrates with popular registration systems, so there’s no switching costs, data duplication, or other hassles for the conference. Each conference also gets an instant social community for their attendees, which is great for pre and post event networking. EventVue sees a conference as a community and helps it grow.

EventVue quietly announced that they have closed their Series A round of financing, which was picked up and not so quietly amplified. Rob Johnson, one of the two founders of EventVue said “We’re excited to have such respected investors validate our opportunity and can’t wait to make EventVue a revolutionary force in the conference industry”.

I’m really proud of EventVue. They worked their butts off all summer and took positive and negative feedback very well. Rob and Josh are very passionate about the problem that they’re solving and have a laser focus on the needs of their customer.

EventVue has already been used by a handful of conferences and the feedback and results have been impressive. If you run a paid conference or know someone who does, you should go and check out EventVue. They’re still in private beta, so sign up and then drop me a note and I’ll put in the good word. One thing is for sure, Rob and Josh will find a way to make sure you’re happy with the results.
