Applicant Description:

• Recent graduate from top school — 0-3 years work experience is good
• Engineering background would be useful — You need to be able to speak nerd…
• Full out obsession with Technology, Startups, Entrepreneurship, Venture Capital, etc.
• Strong web presence (blog and/or read too many blogs, dream of tweets, use all new apps)
• Knack for building relationships and fostering community
• Prone to smiling and extroverted personality — Smile score >10 per day

General Job Description:

• Your role will be as the TechStars Evangelist, in charge of being the public persona and advocate of TechStars
• You will become an integral part of the NYC tech scene and will serve as an active participant in local tech events
• You will be waving the TechStars flag at all hackathons, conferences, happy hours, and also on the World Wide Web (ie the Information Superhighway)
• You will strive to build TechStars brand awareness thru increasing the visibility of TechStars
• You will work to foster a sense of community both internally within TechStars (between company Founders, etc.) and externally with the larger tech community
