Amir is a hacker-turned-founder that got his start by writing an online poker bot at the age of 19. He went on to found a poker analytics company that was acquired by Zynga in 2011 after 6 years as CTO. He served as a studio CTO at Zynga where he helped build Zynga Poker and Zynga bingo for two years. He left Zynga to found Cratejoy in 2012 and participated in Y Combinator's summer of 2013 class. He's raised over $11M in Venture Capital from some of the best investors in the world such as Charles River Ventures, Andreesen Horowitz and SV Angel. He raised over $1M of that from Austin angels and angel funds in 2014. Amir currently serves as CEO of Cratejoy which has scaled to approximately 50 employees.
Amir lives in Austin, TX with his wife Tracy and son Logan. Amir's a passionate AI nerd and an amateur fitness buff in his spare time.
