Andrew Hyde is an entrepreneur and community builder with a passion for writing, travel and startups. He founded a four startups, including two global movements in Startup Weekend and Startup Week, and was the first employee of Techstars.

Andrew has run the largest TEDx (TEDxBoulder), Ignite (Ignite Boulder) and Startup Week (Boulder Startup Week) in the world, and Startup Weekend has grown into an organization with a global presence and from July 2015, Startup Weekend has reached 135 countries, involving over 210,000 entrepreneurs.

With roots in freelancing and design, he can hold a conversation about best interface practices as well as how to build cabins with hand tools. He is also a marathoner, Ironman competitor, blogger and event organizer.

His work has been featured in the NYTimes, NBC World News, Washington Post, Boing Boing, Boston Globe, INC, Entrepreneur, Daily Mail, Yahoo! and the Nepal Times, oddly. He has written for Laughing Squid, The Next Web and Read Write Web. He is the author of nine patents with variations of the name “Aggregation of an Aggregation System.” Most recently he wrote a book named This Book is About Travel  which reached the #1 sales slot for iBooks and Amazon’s travel sections.
