Bruce has 3 decades of executive experience in the travel industry. He currently leads sales and marketing for PhoCusWright, the global travel industry research authority on how travelers, suppliers and intermediaries connect.
Bruce’s first entrepreneurial job was selling hot dogs and beer at Phillies and Eagles games on a straight commission basis while in high school and college. After graduating with honors from UCONN with a marketing degree, he started Moguls Mountain Travel. Through an interesting chain of events he sold the company to a venture backed media company, re-acquired it a year later with a venture backed adventure travel firm who shortly thereafter went Chapter 7. He then was able to rescue the company with angel investment, and two years later he exited with a sale to Intrawest, a public company that owns a wide variety of mountain resorts.
Bruce is on the executive team at PhoCusWright that recently led a successful sale of the company to Northstar Travel Media, the world’s largest travel industry B2B media company. Considered a leading strategic thinker in the travel field, Bruce speaks at events on a regular basis and created PhoCusWright’s Class of 35 as a way to recognize, mentor and promote young talent in the world’s largest industry.
When not working or mentoring travel stars, Bruce loves to play in Boulder and travel with his wife Lynne and two boys Jaden and Milan. Skiing, mountain biking, softball and tennis are his sports of choice.
