The TechStars NYC team has been hard at work in preparation for the upcoming TechStars NYC Spring Program. They are moving to a beautiful new office, adding some notable new mentors to the roster, and meeting with a lot of very smart entrepreneurs. Recently they held two happy hour meet and greets as well as a Skillshare class all about How to Get into TechStars NYC, co-taught by David Cohen and Katie Rae. I asked NYC Managing Director David Tisch and Director Adam Rothenberg if they have anything they would like to say to the applicant pool for New York City:
A year ago, TechStars in New York City began. Thanks to our companies, mentors, and the NYC community for your amazingness. We are very excited about the strength of the NYC startup eco-system and all the positive trends we are seeing in NYC tech. NYC really is an amazing place to start and build your business.
Now we look ahead! Tonight is the early deadline. Why should you submit early?
1. It gives us more adequate time to get to know you and your team.
2. You can add video URLs and details about your progress prior to the final deadline of January 23.
3. Demonstrating your progress between the early deadline and the final deadline always works in your favor.
4. You will be ahead of the game beating the influx of the hundreds of applications we receive at the final deadline.
5. Because we said so.
