Sponsor Startup Weekend Santa Clara

Sponsor Startup Weekend Santa Clara and the next generation of entrepreneurs!

Startup Weekend is a well-established program that has been held more than 1000 times in 120+ countries around the world. We are planning a dynamic event to be held at Santa Clara University. This will be an interdisciplinary and interactive program involving Law, Business, Science, the Arts and Engineering in the heart of Silicon Valley. For 54 hours over a 3day period Friday, Feb 27 + Saturday, Feb 28 + Sunday, March 1 80 students and young professionals from various disciplines and companies, will come together in teams to participate energetically in an experiential, creative and competitive learning endeavor. The goal will be to develop practical and needed new products, new solutions and even new companies! This has been the result of Startup Weekends elsewhere, and where better than Silicon Valley to confer, build and innovate!

We invite your involvement. You fit the profile of an ideal sponsor. Help pass along to this new generation of budding professionals, the energy and vision that makes your company so strong and visible. Here’s what you can do:

  • Be a sponsor. We are in need of sponsorships of various levels, from $500 to $5,000.
  • Sponsor an individual student that we will select from applications. Or, sponsor someone you know, from your own company or family.
  • Engage one other company/sponsor. This project is worthwhile, and like good new products, it depends on an active consortium of talented and engaged individuals.

This is a very costeffective program. We utilize a proven international organizational structure, but we are 100% local, and every penny donated or paid in fees will be utilized directly to put on this 3day program. We are a recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. No individual, no entity receives any of the proceeds. Santa Clara University is the host, and the organizing committee, which I am one of the lead organizers, is composed entirely of students.

Our goal is to create an environment where passionate people can come together to get things done; to learn, network, bridge the gap between trades, expose potential and see actual results. We are proud to be a part of this type of innovative collaboration and we hope you will help us reach our goals by supporting this global movement on a local level. Join us!

For more information about the event, we invite you to explore Santa Clara’s Startup Weekend website as well as the organization’s website. Please also check out the Startup Weekend YouTube Channel for trailers and examples of past events. Lastly, please feel free to call or email me with any questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from you!

Best,
