On November 20th, we’re hosting an event called Techstars For A Day in NYC. We’ve been inviting teams that we’d like to learn more about but we’re short on space at the venue and can only have about 100 people attend. This means we can invite approximately 50 companies, out of several hundred that have already applied. Teams that applied earlier have more of a chance of being invited. Also, if we’ve already spent some time with your team, we may not invite you in order to give us the chance to meet more companies.

We always have to remind everyone that attendance at Techstars for a Day is absolutely not required for acceptance into Techstars. In fact, in the past we’ve seen 3 or 4 teams that attended Techstars for a Day ultimately get accepted into the final 10 spots. This means that most of the accepted teams do not attend Techstars for a Day! So if you don’t receive an invitation, it doesn’t mean that you’ve been cut from consideration.

You can still apply for the New York City program through November 20th.

By the way, applications for our Boston program are also now being accepted. Check the full schedule for details.
