Another This Week in Techstars hot off the upload! All the interviews were conducted on demo day in Boulder so you get to hear from them about how the day went and what the overall experience at Techstars was like.

The first guest is Zak Kukoff talking about his startup TruantToday and going through the program as the youngest founder to ever do so. He shares his views of the program, being involved in the Clinton Global Initiative and the issues of being a young founder (try renting a car at 16!).

The next guests are Char Genevier and Alex Benzer of SocialEngine. Their company was four years old and quickly changed after moving to Boulder. They talk about the ways mentorship was key in their growth and habits during and after the program. Their advice to getting into Techstars: “Number #1 thing is to show the strength of your team and an ability to execute.”

Matt Talbot and Samantha Holloway of GoSpotCheck finish up the teams with a discussion of their development throughout the summer. Just how do vendors really know how their products are being displayed around the stores? They changed their focus about halfway through the program and quickly launched with some big brands already signed up. If you think about radical changes in startups, think of what this team did this summer.

We conclude with Techstars managing directors Nicole Glaros talking about the teams and just how the summer progressed. How do the companies interact and grow together and what is the program really like?

Thanks for tuning in and see you again next week!
