It’s almost that time of year again…CES! The International Consumers Electronic Show features the what’s what of new tech. Last year, I saw everything from a driverless golf cart to a palm-sized MiniDrone.
During the weekend of Jan 6-9 in sunny Las Vegas, techies and enthusiasts from all over the world will wander around neon showrooms and drool over the million dollar displays and exhibits.
Now, not everyone is excited by Sony’s next big thing or the new computer monitor Microsoft is releasing. If that’s the case for you, Eureka Park will be your playground.
Eureka Park is the flagship startup destination at CES, providing a unique exhibiting opportunity to launch a new product, service or idea. You’ll find the latest ideas and innovations from more than 20 countries within this marketplace. Discover the international breadth of budding entrepreneurs and home-grown innovation from fledgling prototypes to progressing startups, spanning the entire consumer technology spectrum.
Yeah, that copy is directly from the website, but you get the idea. New startups! New ideas! New talent! To harness this excitement for good, UP Global has partnered with CES and Magna to host Startup Stage in Eureka Park.
Over four days, Startup Stage will highlight the startup community by featuring prominent entrepreneurs, investors, executives, and media. In addition to the live stage, UP Global will host mentor sessions, pitch competitions, and provide resources and networking opportunities for exhibitors and attendees.
In UP Global’s third year at CES, one event has remained the most popular: The Pitch Challenge. We all know entrepreneurs love to get on stage and be judged by the effectiveness of their startup pitch. Startup Stage will give the entrepreneurs of Eureka Park the opportunity to pitch to a panel of iconic entrepreneurs, receive feedback and win prizes.
To sign up for the pitch competition, stop by the UP Global stage in Eureka Park. Speakers, mentor sessions, and special events will be announced over the following weeks. Make sure to follow @UPGlobalHQ for updates.

This year’s UP Summit brought 530 people from across the globe to Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
In it’s fourth year, the UP Summit was by far our largest one yet, almost tripling in size from last year’s Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event was composed of multiple experiences, both learning experiences and fun adventures. Our Community Leaders got to have intimate discussions, listen and participate in workshops lead by the community, as well as skydive, trapeze, horseback ride, and explore the Hoover Dam – just to name a few!
Check out the 2014 UP Summit Recap Video. I WANNA GO BACK TO VEGAS!
UP Summit is our biggest event each year and our greatest opportunity to bond with the community – it was such a pleasure for me to organize a memorable experience for everyone. A special thank you to Work In Progress, a Downtown Project initiative, who sponsored our event and is the reason why we were so inspired to bring it to Downtown Las Vegas. Also, thank you to the Community Leaders who ran Learning Sessions and to our entire community for being so wonderfully energetic and excited, despite the Nevada Desert heat!
I look forward to seeing everyone in 2015 – wherever in the world we may be!
CES is the largest consumer electronics trade show in the world. Thousands of products are launched and showcased across more than 15 product categories.
Among the 3,200 retailers there were massive displays from Sprint, Intel, Cannon, Polaroid, and more. But, over the past three years, CES has made space for smaller companies to join in the mix. ‘Eureka Park‘ was home to 140+ startup exhibitors including some Startup Weekend founded companies. UP Global was there to support, collaborate and host panels geared towards entrepreneurship.
Take a look below at the SW teams who were at CES.
