Calling all entrepreneurs! Startup Open, one of the signature events of Global Entrepreneurship Week, is accepting applications now through November 17th. The event is open to all hard-working startups who got their start during a GEW 2009 event as well as to those individuals and teams who expect to found a promising startup during one of this year’s GEW events.
Entrepreneurs from last year’s and this year’s GEW events should submit their application via the Startup Open site. A panel of judges will review each application and select the “GEW 50”. These 50 startups, ranked on such criteria as strength of concept, knowledge of the market, and growth projections, will be the best of the bunch.
The top prize for Startup Open is a trip to Richard Branson’s private island. One lucky winner will get the chance to network with high-level entrepreneurs while soaking up the sun. Two other entrepreneurs will win two days of tailor-made exposure and advice to all things entrepreneurial at the Kauffman Labs in Kansas City. This experience is invaluable to freshly-hatched teams hoping to rapidly scale their startup.
Startup Open is…you guessed it – open to all startups. Please visit their website and submit your application today.
