Last year, Startup Weekend Education was launched to specifically target education innovation and reform through entrepreneurship. Over 15 Startup Weekend EDU events have been held all over the country, and we’re excited to announce that even more events will be held in the coming months in cities such as New York, San Francisco, Raleigh-Durham and more.

We’re excited to be able to invite all attendees of SXSW EDU to attend the first ever screening of the Startup Weekend Education movie film this week.  The film is both a problem statement and a call to action regarding the state of education in our country, told through the lens of two teacher entrepreneurs participating in the 54 hour events.

If you’re not able to join us in Austin, never fear; we’ll be launching the film publicly in the coming months. In the meantime, to participate in a Startup Weekend EDU event near you, head to startupweekend.org/events.
