Alan D. Hall is Ford Motor Company’s Global Communications Manager for Ford Technology, Research and Innovation. He is responsible for leading launch and communications strategies for Ford technology products and Ford Smart Mobility research programs, including management of media relations for the Vice President of Ford Research and Advanced Engineering, the Global Chief Data and Analytics Officer and the Director of Connected Vehicle and Services.
In this role, he develops comprehensive communications strategies for Ford technologies ranging from infotainment and connectivity platforms, to autonomous driving features, as well as health and wellness projects and advanced propulsion and manufacturing (materials and processes). He also leads Ford’s award-winning presence at the International Consumer Electronics Show, including overseeing the show display design, press conference plans, keynote participation, media strategy and technology partner engagement.
Hall joined Ford in 2006 holding roles responsible for managing Ford brand utilities and Lincoln and Mercury brand cars, trucks, and utilities, as well as directing the communications strategy for all Ford cars in the U.S., including Taurus, Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, and Mustang. During his tenure at Ford, he has also been responsible for leading and coordinating the global media communications strategy for the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang and launch of the all-new 2015 Mustang from 2013 to 2014.
In 2014, Hall also served as Senior Communications Manager, Automotive, for NVIDIA Corporation, leading media relations and marketing communications for the company’s fastest growing business unit. Earlier in his career, Hall was Audi’s product and technology communications manager. He also previously worked with Ford ascommunications manager of its Special Vehicle Team while he was at the firm Campbell & Company.
