Atif Rafiq is Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer of McDonald's Corporation. He is responsible for McDonald’s cohesive and holistic global digital strategy – bringing an entirely new level of convenience and fun to our customers through digital engagement.

Rafiq was previously the GM of Kindle Direct Publishing at Amazon.com, responsible for efforts including product management, program management, marketing, author relations and metrics.

Before Amazon, he served as head of Global Product Marketing/Strategy, Yahoo! for three years. He was responsible for market strategy and business development on the global side, and prior to that, for Yahoo! Local.

In 2000, Rafiq founded Covigna, Inc., which offers software that allows enterprises to optimize their negotiated agreements and manage various amount of contract information. He served as Chief Executive Officer until 2005.

He began his career on the web in 1996 as an early member of the Business Development team at AOL. Rafiq has held managerial roles at a number of public Internet and software companies in a business development capacity. He started his career at Goldman Sachs.

Rafiq holds a BA in Mathematics-Economics from Wesleyan University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
