Diogo da Silveira is Chief Executive Officer of The Navigator Company, European leader in the production of uncoated printing and writing papers. The Company is also a leader in the production of bleached eucalyptus pulp.

Born in Lisbon, on 11th December 1960, he holds a degree in Engineering from the École Centrale de Lille, France. His academic career also includes an MBA at Insead and the University of California, Berkeley, where he was research scholar.

He began his professional career in a major Japanese company, was a Partner at Mckinsey & Co and has served on several Boards of Directors of Portuguese companies in the Retail, Telecommunications, Banking, Insurance and Manufacturing sectors.

Currently, he is President of CELPA - Portuguese Paper Industry Association. In addition, he is Vice Chairman of CEPI - Confederation of European Paper Industries and member of the Executive Board of WBCSD - World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Diogo da Silveira is also actively involved with business associations. He is Vice-President of CIP (Portuguese Business Confederation) and Vice-President in Portugal of the French Foreign Trade Advisors at the French Embassy in Lisbon.

Since 2011, he is partner at SHILLING (Business Angel venture)

Diogo da Silveira is married to Catherine, they have 3 children.
