Jon Bain is currently Head of Channel Sales at Nest Labs in Palo Alto, California. Nest Labs, the maker of Smart Home products, was bought by Google in January of 2014 for $3.2 billion and is now a part of its parent company, Alphabet. Nest is focused on making simple, human, delightful things and creating the thoughtful home: A home that takes care of the people inside it and the world around it. Prior to joining Nest, Jon cut his teeth in retail in both brick and mortar and e-commerce at Target Corporation and Amazon.com. At Target, he held various roles from Inventory Management, to Buying, to Presentation across all aspects of Target's Business including Apparel, Home, Food, Electronics, Music and Commodities. At Amazon, he held Senior Merchant and Management of Vendor Management roles in the Home Improvement cateogries specifically running Amazon's Home Automation store where he successfully launched tens of thousands of new items and vendors on Amazon.com and it's Home Automation store. He has his BA from Saint Olaf College and his MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
