Lorenzo is currently the Director of Geekdom, the place where start-ups are born. Geekdom strives to provide an inspiring environment for bright minds to explore ideas in entrepreneurship, technology, leadership, creativity, and connect to a community of like-minded people.

Lorenzo also serves as the head of The 80/20 Foundation. As Executive Director, Gomez directs the educational, cultural, political, and civic strategic partnerships, philanthropic endeavors, and non-profit cross-collaboration efforts of the 80/20 Foundation. Gomez helped to establish the 80/20 Foundation on behalf of serial-entrepreneur Graham Weston after his most recent position as Vice-President of Customer Support with CityVoice.

At CityVoice Lorenzo was in charge of customer service infrastructure, training and day-to-day operational strategy. Mr. Gomez had complete ownership of the relationship between CityVoice and its customer base.

Prior to CityVoice, Gomez spent a decade in multiple roles with managed hosting and cloud computing pioneer, Rackspace. Gomez served as Director of Project Management, reporting to the COO’s office. In his role, Gomez was responsible for leading multiple projects including (but not limited to) IPv6 migration, process standardization and alignment efforts, and implementation of an order management system. During his tenure with Rackspace, Gomez was also responsible for assisting in the launch of European customer support operations, and managed multiple Microsoft and Linux support teams, improving the overall customer experience for Global 1000 clients.

He is a San Antonio native and serves in versatile leadership positions with his church and is the former treasurer of LiberiaNow, a 501(c)3 agency serving the impoverished in Liberia, West Africa. He also finished a one-year term as treasurer of the SA2020 board, a non-profit focused on catalyzing the San Antonio community in order to transform San Antonio into a world-class city by 2020.
