Luz Cristal Glangchai, PhD, is a scientist, entrepreneur, and mentor with a passion for empowering women founders and developing the next generation of creative leaders and entrepreneurs. Dr. Glangchai’s experience spans patent law, technology commercialization, product development, and lean startup pedagogy in the edtech, biotech, nanotech, and non-profit spaces. She is the Director of the Blackstone LaunchPad at UT Austin and the Texas Entrepreneurship Exchange at UT Austin. She is also the Founder/CEO of VentureLab.org, a non-profit that develops K-12 experiential learning programs in youth entrepreneurship. Previously, Dr. Glangchai founded a nanotechnology drug delivery company and was an Assistant Professor and Founding Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Trinity University.
Dr. Glangchai has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the TODAY Show, NPR’s The TakeAway, Mashable, and TEDx. She gives talks on diversity and the gender gap, STEM, creativity, the entrepreneurial mindset, and preparing the next generation of entrepreneurs for the future. Her book, "VentureGirls - Raising Entrepreneurial Girls to be Tomorrows Leaders," teaches parents/teachers how to raise confident girls through the entrepreneurial mindset.
