Melissa is a passionate, entrepreneurial and strategic business development leader specializing in bringing innovative channels to market and developing key strategic alliances both in the U.S. and internationally. Melissa has a proven track record of managing ventures from conception to profitability across multiple industries including technology, direct marketing and financial services.
Most recently, Melissa founded and built a corporate and government division within Sittercity.com, branded SelectPlus. Under Anderson’s direction, SelectPlus, became one of the fastest growing child and eldercare employee benefits in the nation serving over 500 clients including the U.S. Department of Defense. In October of 2013, SelectPlus was acquired by Bright Horizons Family Solutions (BFAM) the world’s leader in employer-sponsored care.
Melissa is on the Executive Committee on the Auxiliary Board of the Chicago Children’s Museum, a Mentor for Techstars Chicago and on the Board of Investors of MightyNest. Melissa lives in Chicago with her husband and son Kyle who is 7 years old and daughter Whitney who is 4.
