Raphael Poplock is ESPN’s vice president of games and revenue strategy and development for ESPN Digital Media. Poplock guides the overall vision, priorities and strategy for all of ESPN’s games businesses, including its multi-year relationships with EA SPORTS, Microsoft Xbox and other console partners; social games through ESPN’s partnership with Playdom; and online and mobile casual games. He also oversees new revenue-driving activities across other Digital Media products, including Video, ESPN3.com and Fantasy Games. Poplock’s day-to-day games responsibilities include overseeing all new game development concepts across console, social and casual platforms, as well as the incorporation of game assets across ESPN properties. From a revenue strategy and development standpoint, Poplock works closely with ESPN’s Ad Sales, Affiliate Sales & Marketing, and Premium groups to drive incremental revenues and profitability for other Digital Media products. Based in ESPN’s New York office, Poplock reports to Marc Horine, vice president of Digital Partnerships, ESPN Digital Media. Poplock joined ESPN in November 2003 as a financial analyst for ESPN Enterprises. Prior to ESPN, he worked for Broadview International, a subsidiary of Jeffries & Co., as a Mergers and Acquisition senior analyst involved in all aspects of transaction development. Poplock received a bachelor of science in communication with a concentration in business management from Cornell.
