Roy began his career in banking after graduating from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management in 1986 with a major in finance. He then founded and built a national IT consulting company that was sold to Dell Computer in 2002.

Roy is currently the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Revo Brand Group, an innovation company that builds brands, products, content and businesses in outdoor sports categories including its flagship brand Real Avid. Roy also serves as an advisor to entrepreneurial students and alumni and is actively involved in the experiential curriculum at the Carlson School of Management.

Roy has received an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and has been named to the Crain’s New York Business and the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s “40 under 40” lists of business leaders.
