Sam is a serial entrepreneur and technologist with a focus on mobile, consumer, and enterprise technologies, and his experience spans nearly 20 years working in cutting edge roles at both large companies and startups.

Most recently, Sam was Co-Founder and CEO of Medicast, a digital healthcare company which was acquired by Providence St. Joseph Health in 2016. 

Previously, Sam spent 6 years at Nokia as Chief Architect, where he designed and deployed large-scale consumer services with 25+ wireless carriers in over 20 countries around the world. Prior to that, Sam was part of the team that led the $36bn Sprint-Nextel merger. He has also led innovation projects and enterprise sales into numerous Fortune 500 companies, focusing on mHealth, IoT, and mobility services, and has been responsible for portfolio enhancement and business expansion to new markets and verticals for a number of organizations including Vodafone and JPMorgan Chase.

Sam is a contributor to Entrepreneur Magazine and is a mentor at Techstars and 500 Startups. As a recognized subject matter expert in healthcare and technology, he has been featured and interviewed in numerous national media outlets including CNN and USA Today. In 2013, Sam was invited to the White House to meet with President Obama and other senior officials to discuss healthcare reform, and in 2015, he was recognized by MM&M as a Top 40 Healthcare Transformer and among the Techweek100 for his work in helping reshape the healthcare industry through the novel use of technology.
