Wendy Lea is a leading expert in digital innovation strategies that drive growth for global organizations and economic vibrancy for communities. CEO, board leader, entrepreneur, investor, mentor, and community steward, Wendy is equally well-versed in helping large enterprises facilitate organic growth as she is in developing startup innovation strategies that catalyze economic vibrancy for states, regions, and city ecosystems. Her multi-faceted background and extensive network of high growth startups, venture capitalists, and cross-sector business leaders gives her the forward-thinking, entrepreneurial, and innovative perspective needed to help modernize and reimagine new ways for traditional organizations and communities to thrive.
Most recently, Wendy served as CEO of Cintrifuse, a public-private partnership in Cincinnati that focused on creating economic vibrancy through startup innovation. Under her leadership, the company built a framework for a sustainable innovation economy for the Greater Cincinnati region, resulting in its recognition as the #1 startup ecosystem in Ohio.
Prior to her role at Cintrifuse, Wendy served as an advisor, investor, board member and executive for venture-backed startups Quova (acquired by Neustar), Stratify (acquired by Iron Mountain), Get Satisfaction (acquired by Sprinklr), and Accompany (acquired by Cisco).
As a founding member of OnTarget, a global consultancy that delivered “go to market” solutions to tech giants Oracle, HP, IBM, Cisco, and Microsoft, Wendy developed a deep curiosity for digital technology across industries. After Siebel's acquisition of OnTarget in 2000, Wendy focused her resources––talent, time, and capital––in early-stage startup innovation.
Wendy’s core competencies include empowering company cultures with “outside in” thinking, making enterprise processes more agile, testing new technology solutions, and finding new ways to attract, retain, and engage digital talent.
An entrepreneur and mentor at heart, Wendy is also experienced in connecting entrepreneurs with corporate and community resources needed to deliver new ways to solve old problems and ultimately reboot growth. She is currently a dedicated mentor to the Techstars Accelerator Network, the #1 global network of entrepreneurs, and Steve Case’s Rise of the Rest Expert Network.
Wendy is recognized for her work in digital innovation across industries, named a "Woman of Influence" in both Silicon Valley and San Francisco and was recently honored with the Signal Excellence Award in 2018 by Procter & Gamble as well as University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business Distinguished Service Award.
With her warm approach, global perspective and dedication to innovative business building, Wendy embraces the belief that "good relationships make good business.” A graduate of the University of Mississippi in Business Administration, Wendy’s home base is Boulder, Colorado.
