Entrepreneurs and startups are reshaping our way of life by creating a more equitable and sustainable world. Techstars invite ambitious startups to apply to Paris Techstars Accelerator based in Paris to help their founders achieve their vision of a meaningful, sustainable and digital world.

Paris is one of the leading startup ecosystems in the world - accounting for 20 unicorns with the aim at 5 more in 4 years - as well as an international leader of sustainable cities. Techstars is the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed with over 3,000 companies having successfully completed our 90 day accelerator programs and thereafter becoming a part of the Techstars network for life.

Areas of Interest

We want to work with founders and strong teams in all areas of sustainability. We welcome applications from French companies or companies willing to settle in France, of all races, ethnicities, cultures and genders. A special attention will be given to female founders.

We are keen to work with startups within the Energy, Food, Agriculture & land use, Industry & manufacturing, Transportation, Waste Management, Water and Buildings sectors. They can relate to Climate tech, Cleantech and Circular economy.

With our geographical and sectoral focus, the Paris Techstars Accelerator is well positioned to help startups take advantage of the French and EU policy  for sustainable economic development addressing climate change and supporting the European Green Deal. 

Accelerator Dates and Program Format

• Deadline for applications: January 4, 2022

• Final selection of 12 companies: Towards end February 2022

• Program start date: Beginning of April 2022

• Demo day: Late June 2022

We are planning for an in-person program, if the Covid situation stays stable. If health, safety and travel guidelines do not permit it, we could organize a  hybrid Program instead, combining the best of an in-person experience with virtual engagement. In-person will allow us to work together and build strong relationships between founders and with mentors coming from France. Virtual sessions will allow us to source the best of Techstars’ global network for content, masterclasses, mentors and venture investors from across the world.

Every startup that joins our program is offered the same terms. We invest $20,000 in each company, and offer an optional $100,000 convertible note. In return for joining the program and access to the Techstars network for life, the Accelerator takes 6% ordinary stock in each company.
