Sep 04, 2022

By Raphaele Leyendecker, September 5, 2022

As MD of Paris Techstars Accelerator, focused on Sustainability, I am happy to share the launch of our second 2022 Class. 12 solid companies start today on Monday September 5th our 13-weeks program. As we run on hybrid format, we welcome 33 participants for this first week in Paris, coming from 10 different countries. Most of them will leave Paris next week-end to return home and attend the 11 next weeks remotely before coming back on November 28th for our last week in-person and prepare for the online pitches to our network of investors.

Our investments are tackling challenges such as energy transition, waste and water management, green and social finance. They build Biotech, Deep tech, Web 3 technologies and software products using AI or machine learning. 41% of this Septembre 2022 Class has been founded by women.

To give them a world class experience, Paris Techstars Accelerator counts on a rock stars team: Rebecca Ravenni, our Program Manager, Emma Goldberg, our Ops Associate, Anna Nikolova, our Design Associate, Harshit Jain, our Lead Gen Associate. We will also receive the support of two former french Techstars alumni as Entrepreneurs in Residence: Baptiste Fradin (Techstars NYC), exited entrepreneur partner at VC FAMAE Capital to guide entrepreneurs on the impact investment side and Alexis Botaya (Techstars Anywhere), exited entrepreneur to give solid Communication advice. We also enrolled really close members of our community with 4 Mentors in Residence: Arnaud Weiss leading the Sales practice, Caroline Woussen-Franczia expert in Inbound marketing, Andrea Sasso giving the best Financial frameworks and Sera Evcimen expert in hardware and manufacturing. 115 Mentors will be joining us in two weeks to start what we call Mentor Madness and help our 12 intakes take a step further.

Our accelerator program’s first month will be dedicated to giving our purpose-driven companies a solid network, while the second will focus on execution and the third on fundraising. As a Sustainability accelerator, we guide them to choose the appropriate impact metrics to their business and give them access to a Leadership ESG tool so they grow with the right mindset. We also assess the carbon footprint of each company and set some ambitious collective goals to save CO2 by the end of 5 years.
