We are incredibly excited to announce the 2021 class of the Techstars Hub71 Accelerator. Our thesis for our program is seeking ‘talented startups from around the world with the global ambition to scale by leveraging the power of our networks’.
Providing access to our global network of mentors, investors, and corporate enterprises is central to Techstars commitment to help startups accelerate innovation and growth. We help our companies develop products at a faster rate and adopt ‘go-to-market’ strategies by cutting down long lead times and producing healthy customer conversion rates is our firm belief.
Based in Abu Dhabi’s dynamic and fast-growing global tech ecosystem, Hub71, we are attracting remarkably talented founders from around the world. We recognize there is an abundance of tech talent but identifying and hiring talent can be a challenge.. Therefore, Hub71 in Abu Dhabi is unlocking unrivalled access to a thriving tech community rooted in the principles of partnership that fosters opportunities for startups to attract quality talent and secure opportunities to raise capital and grow.. The Hub71 Incentive Program which includes equity-free WeWork x Hub71 office space, housing and health insurance, is second to none and is helping startups get a headstart in the region.
Our three month accelerator program will focus on strategy, execution, fundraising and building powerful networks. Each and every founder in the program will get personalized attention to their unique needs,enriching their personal growth journey to expand their horizons, a philosophy that resonates deeply with me personally. As an entrepreneur over the past three decades, I have experienced the valleys and peaks of building businesses. I have found making mistakes is a tremendous source for learning and growth.
The selection of this year’s companies was rigorous and competitive in that less than 2% of our applicant pool were accepted to our program. We sought companies that demonstrated strong and in-depth understanding across a broad range of sectors; namely in AI Analytics, FinTech, Payment Technologies, HeathTech, Augmented Reality, Logistics, and eCommerce. Each of these 10 companies are tackling systemic industry obstacles and embody what it means to drive innovation. They are local champions in their own right with global ambitions. We standby ready to help them scale fast.
We are also proud that this year’s founders represent seven countries and two of our companies are led by women CEOs. We are excited to welcome them to be part of the Techstars family and have the privilege of working with them hand in hand to build amazing companies.
