Today marks the kick-off of the second Techstars program in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We are excited to announce our class of 12 startup companies from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the wider Middle East region and Europe. These companies are innovating in a diverse range of sectors including AI, EdTech, eCommerce, and HealthTech. Notably, 50% of the class has a female founder or CEO.

For this program we are thrilled to be partnering with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, (MCIT), Raed Ventures, and Saudi National Bank (SNB). Saudi Arabia is going through a once-in-a-century transformation of its economy. The country is witnessing a massive amount of investment, with the building of a digital infrastructure in all its vital sectors like the financial, health, and education. The partnership between Techstars, MCIT, Raed Ventures, and SNB embodies that drive and ambition to serve these new opportunities.

The Riyadh Techstars Accelerator program led by its Managing Director Vijay Tirathrai  is scheduled for 13 weeks starting today and culminating in the Demo Day on 4th of September 2023 to mark the end of the program. This program will enable startups to build sustainable businesses in Saudi Arabia and provide growth potential into the wider MENA region though Techstars accessible networks.
