We’re excited to announce our September 2022 class of 12 companies, which is - for this year - merging our Techstars LA program and our Techstars Space program in partnership with the United States Space Force and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.  We’re kicking off the program today (in-person!) in Culver City, just steps from Main Street and The Platform!

We also JUST opened applications last week for TWO (!) programs we’ll be running in LA next March: our just announced Techstars Healthcare sponsored by Cedars-Sinai, Point32Health, UCI Health, and UnitedHealthcare (apply here) and our next Techstars LA program (now run in partnership with J.P. Morgan) (apply here).

This year’s applicant pool for LA/Space was one of the most competitive ever in terms of traction and the caliber of teams represented. The companies in this class are run by some of the most impressive technologists and some of the boldest, biggest dreamers we’ve ever met.

Our space companies are addressing some of the fastest growing and pressing opportunities in the sector: in-space manufacturing, additive manufacturing, hypersonics, resilient launch, cybersecurity, unprecedentedly powerful drones, mission planning, and thermal protection.  And our healthcare, ecommerce, and SaaS companies are tackling some of the biggest opportunities in robotics surgery, weight management, wellness, and retail efficiency.  We even have a robot bartender!!!

This class also continues to build on our commitment to investing in diverse and underrepresented teams. Of the 12 companies, 9 are led by founders that identify as underrepresented. Thank you to our sponsors, partners, mentors, and Techstars alumni who help to make Techstars LA and Techstars Space successful. Please join me in welcoming the Techstars LA & Space class of September 2022!
