2020 is a defining year.

A global pandemic.

Climate change.

Polarizing politics.

Racial injustice.

All are equally important and deserve our full commitment to address and solve; however, on Thursday, November 5, two days after the U.S. General Election, Brad Feld and I are double clicking on racial equity and convening our first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Solutions (DEIS) Practicum for the technology, startup, venture ecosystem, and beyond.

We have curated leading subject matter experts and leading practitioners to provide practical, implementable strategies and solutions to operationalize racial equity to create a strong foundation. Our session will include topics related to corporate governance, talent, procurement, product development, go to market, and investment.

Many companies have asked about how to take action toward racial equity. This is the best place to start. We encourage startups, venture funds, accelerators, entrepreneurship support programs, philanthropists, ecosystem builders, big tech, and Fortune 1000 companies to attend.

Each participant will leave inspired and with a blueprint to create increased internal and external economic output for all its stakeholders.

Together with the Anchor Point Foundation, Techstars Foundation, and Techstars, I invite you, your teams and communities to make a small investment in our collective future by attending the DEIS Practicum, Thursday, November 5, 2020.

Passes include access to all live and recorded sessions, and include copies of several key books to drive change:

  • Kingonomics: Twelve Innovative Currencies for Transforming Your Future (Rodney Sampson);

  • The Startup Community Way: Evolving an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem (Brad Feld and Ian Hathaway);

  • Allies and Advocates: Creating an Inclusive and Equitable Culture (Amber Cabral);

  • Unapologetically Ambitious: Take Risks, Break Barriers, and Create Success on Your Own Terms (Shellye Archambeau);

  • The Memo: What Women of Color Need to Know to Secure a Seat at the Table (Minda Hart)

Brad is also donating his books to the OHUB Foundation to provide a complimentary copy to every registrant. Net proceeds support the OHUB Foundation. Register today at deispracticum.com and join us next week for a groundbreaking day.

Thank you for your interest in DEIS. We look forward to seeing you on November 5.

Let’s create racial equity in the ecosystem, together.

Regards,

Rodney Sampson
