On September 18th, we officially kicked off the 5th edition of the ABN AMRO + Techstars Future of Finance Accelerator in Amsterdam. Over the next three months, nine of Europe’s most unstoppable fintech founder teams will take part in an intensive in-person program designed to turbo charge their growth. They will receive hands-on mentorship, go-to-market support, and will get the help needed to secure their next round of funding. Through our network of fintech investors, operators, and domain experts, we’ll help them build the category defining companies that will shape the future of finance.

The Tide has Turned, Fintech is Back

The past few years have been challenging for fintech founders, marked by a tough fundraising climate and the fall of several once-celebrated players. But the tide has turned. Generative AI is opening entirely new possibilities across compliance, payments, and customer engagement. Digital assets and decentralized infrastructures are resurging, stronger and more relevant than before. And in public markets, many of the sector’s former champions are returning with successful IPOs, signaling renewed investor confidence. The Class of 2025 embodies this resurgence — bold, AI-native teams building with conviction at the very frontiers of financial innovation.

A global, competitive selection

This resurgence also showed in this year’s applications. More than 520 fintech companies applied for the 2025 program. After a rigorous selection process, we are proud to welcome nine early-stage, Europe-focused fintech teams from Germany, Denmark, Israel, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, France, and the UK. They are tackling some of the most urgent and exciting trends in finance today: artificial intelligence, embedded finance, decentralized finance, private markets infrastructure, and financial health.
