OpenLoop (Techstars 2020) helps companies build and run telehealth programs, handling everything from provider staffing and licensing to technology and billing. Their mid-year recap highlights three notable moves.
In April, OpenLoop acquired Season Health, a nutrition platform with a network of registered dietitians. For patients managing conditions like diabetes, PCOS, or heart disease, nutrition is a clinical need, not a lifestyle perk. The acquisition lets OpenLoop offer it as part of a fuller care experience.
OpenLoop also partnered with Happy Sleep to offer at-home sleep diagnostics. Patients use a ring device at home; a board-certified sleep physician reviews the results. It's a simpler path to diagnosis for a condition (sleep apnea) that goes undetected in a large share of adults who have it.
Also in June, OpenLoop launched Launchpad, a platform that lets organizations stand up a virtual care brand in as little as 24 hours. It brings together patient acquisition, intake, care delivery, provider operations, and analytics in one place, making it a lot simpler to get a telehealth program off the ground.
All three moves point in the same direction: care that's more complete and easier to access.
