Techstars Partners With Stellar Development Foundation To Drive Innovation on Blockchain-based Cross-border Payments

One month ago, Techstars announced a partnership with Stellar Development Foundation and Moneygram to launch an early-stage startup accelerator program focused on creating a more inclusive and accessible financial system in Latin America.
Following this effort, Techstars is again partnering with Stellar Development Foundation to bring innovators together in the region from May 20-22, 2022, to build new solutions with blockchain technology during Techstars Startup Weekend Blockchain México.
The focus of the Startup Weekend event is to gather entrepreneurs, finance professionals, startups, developers, and anyone in Latin America with an idea to solve the needs of a target audience and further access to the global financial system.
The event will take place on May 20-22 in Mexico City at Centraal, a Google Tech Hub space. More than a hundred participants are expected to attend in person and there will also be an option to attend virtually. Communities from 15 different countries in the region have been invited to join, including Argentina, Colombia, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador, Panamá, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and more.
Participants will have the support of mentors from Mexico, the United States, Argentina, Canada, Colombia, and more during the 3-day hybrid event. With experts from Stellar Development Foundation, Bitso, Platzi, Blockdemy, Techstars, and the local startup community attending, the event will be open to all participants regardless of background or experience level.

Hace poco más de un mes, Techstars anunció una alianza con Stellar Development Foundation y Moneygram para lanzar un programa de aceleración para startups en etapa temprana enfocado en crear un sistema financiero mas accesible e inclusivo en América Latina.
Continuando con este esfuerzo, Techstars se asocia nuevamente con Stellar Development Foundation para reunir a los innovadores en la región del 20 al 22 de mayo de 2022, para construir nuevas soluciones con tecnología blockchain durante Techstars Startup Weekend Blockchain México.
El enfoque del evento Startup Weekend es reunir a emprendedores, profesionales de finanzas, startups, desarrolladores y cualquier persona en América Latina con una idea para resolver las necesidades de un grupo objetivo y dar un mayor acceso al sistema financiero global.
El evento tendrá lugar del 20 al 22 de mayo en la Ciudad de México en Centraal, un espacio de Google Tech Hub. Se espera que asistan alrededor de un centenar de participantes de forma presencial y también habrá una opción para participar de forma virtual. Se ha invitado a unirse a comunidades de 15 países diferentes de la región, incluidos Argentina, Colombia, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador, Panamá, Puerto Rico, República Dominicana y más.
Los participantes obtendrán el apoyo de mentores de México, Estados Unidos, Argentina, Canadá, Colombia y más durante el evento híbrido de 3 días. Con la asistencia de expertos de Stellar Development Foundation, Bitso, Platzi, Blockdemy, Techstars y la comunidad local de startups, el evento estará abierto a todos los participantes, independientemente de sus antecedentes o nivel de experiencia con blockchain.
