It is that time of year again. Applications are officially open for the 3rd class of the Cox Enterprises Social Impact Accelerator powered by Techstars. In response to 2020’s social unrest, we focused our 2021 class on tackling problems rooted in social injustice and systemic racism. As we zoomed out to consider the impact we want to make with our 2022 class, we found a plethora of areas in need of brilliant minds with innovative solutions for change.

Using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as a baseline, our 2022 class will focus on for-profit startups building a safe, equitable, and sustainable world for future generations. We are looking for founders driven to do good for both people and the planet — not because it’s easy or glamorous, but because their solutions have the potential to change the world for the better. Some of our focus areas are below:

  • Environmental sustainability

  • Future of Work

  • Financial literacy & inclusion

  • Improving K-16 education

  • Health equity

  • Equitable food systems

  • Low-cost housing

  • Eliminating institutional racism

Over the course of the 13-week program, the companies will work closely with Techstars, Cox Enterprises, and their mentors to gain traction and scale their businesses. Founded in 1898, Cox Enterprises, a global company with nearly 50,000 employees and nearly $20 billion in revenue, serves as a critical partner to the accelerator, providing startups with resources, access to its network of partners, and mentorship. Techstars accelerators have one goal: to help entrepreneurs succeed.

Applications will remain open until October 6th and the program officially kicks off on January 24, 2022 in Atlanta, GA.  If you are focused on world-changing social and environmental impact solutions, we want to hear from you!

If you are interested in the program, please learn more by visiting the Cox Enterprises Social Impact Accelerator powered by Techstars page, or jump right to the application.
