Bringing Connection to the Center of the Future of Work

Keep Company’s work began in 2022 with a focus on connecting similarly situated employees in expert-facilitated peer groups, matched by a patented algorithm.

Starting with programs for working mothers, Keep Company members consistently reported feeling less alone, better supported, and more capable of managing stress and complexity at work. Clients quickly drove Keep Company’s expansion from supporting mothers to serving all parents and caregivers, reflecting the widespread need for human connection and relational skills across caregiving roles. Today, caregivers make up 73 percent of the workforce, yet many feel unseen or unsupported at work. This gap has propelled the company’s growth.

Driven by the outcomes achieved through supporting working parents and caregivers, Keep Company now offers group programs for all segments of the employee population, including Gen Z associates to senior leadership.

This year, Keep Company ramped up investments in the backend technology and now offers a standalone platform focused on enabling stronger human connection in key growth moments through mentorship, coaching, and peer support groups.

Why Keep Company’s Work is More Relevant Than Ever

The social infrastructure that historically supported social and emotional health has collapsed. Asynchronous work, hybrid workplaces, and a disintegration of the social structures that enabled live, human-to-human connection has led to what the former Surgeon General calls A Loneliness Epidemic. As a result, employers now need to play a more active role in building structures that foster connection at work.

Keep Company’s platform offers the infrastructure to rebuild human connection at work.

Partnering with NAMI to Center the Role of Connection in Caregiver Support

This month, Keep Company and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) released a national report in honor of National Caregivers Month. The collaboration highlights one of the most urgent and overlooked issues in today’s workplace: caregiver loneliness.

What the Report Finds

Loneliness accelerates burnout. For caregivers, the impact is amplified because they are navigating dual roles, often without acknowledgment or support. The report surfaces data that makes the issue clear. Forty to seventy percent of family caregivers experience clinically significant symptoms of depression, often intensified by isolation. Caregivers who feel lonely are three times more likely to consider reducing their hours or leaving the workforce.

These challenges do not sit with individuals alone. They show up across organizations. Research underscores the significant cost of replacing experienced employees, especially women who often shoulder caregiving responsibilities. Caregiver isolation contributes significantly to attrition, diminished productivity, and long-term impact on company culture.

Many traditional supports, such as message boards, webinars, and digital forums, are not addressing the root issue. The report reinforces that caregivers need real human connection to stay engaged, healthy, and supported at work.

Techstars Journey

Keep Company participated in the Techstars Future of Longevity Accelerator in 2023, which was run in partnership with Pivotal Ventures, founded by Melinda French Gates. Pivotal Ventures focuses on advancing social progress by supporting innovation related to care, gender equity, and the future of work. Since Techstars, Keep Company has gone on to raise over $3M in funding, doubled their revenue year over year and received national recognition from SHRM, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal.
