There are a few things to tick off your list before your duties as a facilitator conclude.
Complete a short event survey after each event
You’re our ambassador and representative at the Startup Weekends you facilitate and we depend on you to gather important feedback about the quality of our events. We will use your feedback to ensure that our high standard of quality for events is maintained and to see where we can improve upon the experience of participants or others involved in the event. We’ll share the form with you post-event.
Remember to thank the organizing team
It’s important to maintain a good relationship with organizing teams so that you can work together again in the future. You’ll be able to vouch for one another and support each other for future opportunities as well. A simple thank you email will do!
Startup Weekends can be hectic, and it’s possible to forget to follow up on things that participants or others have asked you during the weekend. A quick reminder in your phone can help you follow through on your commitments.
Stay in touch with your new connections
Chances are that you made some great connections with mentors, a participant, or anyone else you connected with while you were facilitating an event. Be sure to nurture those relationships — you never know where friendship and opportunity might align!
Get paired with your next event
Once you have completed facilitating at an event, remember to keep an eye out for events happening and register your interest in facilitating those events you are interested in.
Next steps on your community leader journey
Tell us what you want to achieve so that we can support your developmental journey. We want to provide the greatest value possible to you from being connected to our global network and we are always adding more to this list.
