Meet the 2024 Techstars Founder Catalyst WaterTech & Sustainability Cohort

Apr 01, 2024

Techstars, the world’s most active pre-seed investor, along with the Tuscaloosa County Economic Development Authority and The University of Alabama, is thrilled to unveil the inaugural cohort of the Techstars Founder Catalyst WaterTech & Sustainability Program, which officially kicked-off on April 1st, 2024.

Our cohort comprises 20 startups from all over the world in the WaterTech and Sustainability sectors, tackling pressing issues such as:

  • Water mismanagement due to infrastructure challenges

  • Increased subsurface moisture which accelerates road failure

  • Waste in oceans

  • Wastewater disposal and purification

During the 10-week program, participating startups receive mentorship, entrepreneurial training, and access to Techstars’ global network of experts. Cohort founders also have the opportunity to attend a Founder Retreat in Tuscaloosa, Alabama led by Techstars and supported by the Tuscaloosa County Economic Development Authority and The University of Alabama. The program culminates in a pitch presentation during an End of Program Showcase to be held in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
