Techstars Tokyo Accelerator Announces Class of 2026
August 18, 2026
Twelve high-impact global startups were selected across 100+ countries for the third annual cohort in Tokyo.

TOKYO – August 18, 2026 – Techstars Tokyo Accelerator, powered by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and Mitsui Fudosan, proudly unveils the 12 companies selected for the Techstars Tokyo Accelerator Class of 2026. Following an extraordinarily competitive international selection process, the 13-week intensive program officially kicked off on August 17, 2026, marking the start of a transformative journey toward global scale.
Building on past success, the 2026 Techstars Tokyo cohort brings a new wave of innovation across AI, deep tech, foodtech, revenue ops, and circular economy tech. Designed to connect Japan’s industrial strength with global venture capital, the program empowers founders to scale globally from Tokyo. With this new class, Techstars Tokyo’s portfolio expands to 36 companies. Past alumni have achieved strong momentum: most secured follow-on capital shortly after Demo Day, and three have already raised over $1 million (¥160M) from top global investors. Supported by strategic partners like Global Brain, Techstars Tokyo provides founders with direct access to institutional capital, corporate co-creation, and market expansion across Asia and beyond.
A High-Caliber, Global Cohort
The final 12 startups reflect the extreme rigor and selectivity of the program with an acceptance rate of about 1%. Each team brings exceptional technical depth, validated market traction, and strong international vision across key sectors, including AI-driven productivity, enterprise automation, bio-based sustainability, and next-generation video intelligence.
Throughout the 13-week program, founders will receive hands-on mentorship from Techstars’ global network of entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and venture investors, backed by direct corporate integration opportunities via JETRO and Mitsui Fudosan.
Save the Date: Demo Day 2026
The program will culminate on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, with the Techstars Tokyo Demo Day. During this invitation-only event, founders will present their refined business models, product achievements, and growth milestones to an exclusive audience of top-tier venture capitalists, angel investors, corporate partners, and ecosystem leaders.
