As the Web3 space is moving at a lightning-fast pace, we wanted the Web3 founder community to have the benefit of insights from some of the leading minds globally even before the Launchpool Web3 Techstars Accelerator kicks off in March 2022.

So, we’re launching our Web3 Convo Series to do just that, and we’re focusing the fireside chats on the 3 different parts of the ‘startup flywheel’.  I’ve always believed in the ‘startup flywheel’ of product, users, and funding, where one part of the flywheel leads to the next and either drives momentum or slows down the whole startup machine.  As in, once you have an MVP and start building up your community around a user base, you should be able to raise your first funding, which lets you build out your product and user base even more, and then raise your next round, and so on.  If you get stuck on one part of the flywheel, it’s hard to keep it spinning...

In this first Web3 Convo, we’ll focus on how Web3 startups get their products out into the market with authenticity and start building up that community around a user base.  We’ll also talk about how to keep pace with the right way to operate your business in the face of the overnight changes we’ve all become accustomed to in the world of crypto, DeFi, NFTs, tokenization, and decentralized protocols.

To kick things off, we’ve got the perfect guest in Michelle Tsing, as she wears many hats as a lawyer, artist, entrepreneur, startup advisor, and self-described futurist.  Michelle is a mentor for the Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator and for Singularity University Ventures, and hosts Laptop Radio, a weekly show, and podcast on the Stanford University Campus radio. She was previously a lawyer for PayPal, and also worked with Apple, Samsung, Cisco, and eBay.  Lately, she’s been spending some time on the governance of DAOs, or decentralized autonomous organisations.

We’ve got more to come with Web3 Convos in November with chats with experts on the impact of your community and user base on funding, and also how to drive that funding into an even better product that keeps the flywheel spinning.  We’ll announce our upcoming guests in the next couple of weeks from blockchain and crypto organisations that you’ll know well, and trust me, their insights are going to be helpful!
