By KJ Singh, incoming Managing Director for Techstars NYC Accelerator, and current Managing Director of the Comcast Universal LIFT Labs Accelerator.

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be heading up the next Techstars NYC program as Managing Director. The NYC program is more than just a location for me: it’s the program that I unsuccessfully applied to as a founder over ten years ago, it’s the program that introduced me to Techstars’ philosophy of give first, and it’s the program where I spent the bulk of my Techstars career supporting 115 companies from 2013 - 2018. Since 2018, I have had the privilege to back another 33 companies as Managing Director of the Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs Accelerator, powered by Techstars. In aggregate, I have helped nearly 150 companies on their entrepreneurial journeys and I am just getting started.

Both Jenny Fielding and Alex Iskold, my long-time former colleagues, have done a tremendous job of shaping this program and I certainly have big shoes to fill. For the upcoming program, we are especially interested in meeting founders building companies in the following areas: fintech, digital health/wellness, supply chain/logistics, and vertical SaaS. Even if you’re not building a company in the previously mentioned areas, we would love to talk to you. We are most interested in meeting and backing founders that are passionate about the problems they are solving and have a demonstrated ability to execute.

Applications for the Techstars NYC are now open and the program will kick off this spring on April 11th. If you’ve got questions, you can message me on Twitter, or request office hours with the NYC to learn more about the program, or if you’re ready, apply now!
