Saba Mohebpour, founder of Techstars-backed ecommerce enablement platform Spocket (Techstars 2018), has launched ILA Capital, a $50M self-funded acquisition fund focused on software and internet businesses.
The fund is the latest expansion of Saba's group, Innovation Labs, a software holding company he founded in 2021. Innovation Labs now operates 14 software products across Shopify, Amazon, Wix, and Squarespace, serving hundreds of thousands of merchants globally.
ILA Capital's initial $50M allocation is funded entirely from internal balance sheet capital generated by the group's operations, with plans to expand as additional opportunities emerge. The fund will target profitable internet businesses that address bottlenecks for ecommerce merchants.
Saba, a Harvard Business School graduate and Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, first came through Techstars with Spocket in 2018, which today powers hundreds of thousands of online stores worldwide.
With ILA Capital, Saba joins a small but growing group of operators building global software portfolios outside the traditional venture model.
