At the Colorado Tech Summit + APEX Awards, the Colorado Technology Association named Techstars Founder & CEO David Cohen as the recipient of the Bob Newman Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding achievements and commitments to furthering innovative technology in Colorado, marking David's long-term impact on the local startup community.

The award was presented to both David and Seth Levine, co-founder and partner at Foundry Group, by Bob Newman, Founder of Colorado Technology Association, and Colorado Governor Jared Polis.

Following the award presentation, David and Seth joined Tami Door, co-founder of Colorado Startup Week and interim CEO for the Downtown Boulder Partnership, as keynote speakers. Their fireside chat focused on the Colorado ecosystem: where it’s been, where it’s going, and the lessons learned from building one of the nation’s most vibrant tech communities.

From the earliest days of Techstars, the goal has been simple: help founders succeed. The strength of Colorado’s startup community is proof of what happens when experienced builders invest in the next generation.
