As we celebrate International Women's Day, we at Techstars Sustainability Paris want to take a moment to recognize and honor the incredible contributions of women in our community.

From our founders and mentors to our team members and portfolio companies, we are inspired by the many talented and dedicated women who are driving innovation and positive change in the sustainability sector.

We know that the challenges facing our planet are complex and urgent, and we believe that diversity and inclusivity are essential to creating the solutions we need. That's why we're committed to empowering and supporting women at every stage of their entrepreneurial journeys. Reaching parity when it comes to women cofounders is one of our top goals and we are surrounding all our founders with both men and women mentors and investors for feedback. 

Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to highlight and celebrate the work of the women alumni of Techstars Sustainability Paris from 2022:

• Andrea Herget is the Co-founder & COO of FINDS, which develops an upcycling B2B tool for the fashion & textile industry. Born in Hungary and raised in Austria, she is an International fashion entrepreneur with a specialization in circular fashion practices.

• Mary Nyaruai is the Founder & CEO of Nyungu Afrika, a startup creating safe, sustainable, and equitable period products by leveraging the circular economy using agricultural waste of pineapple leaves and corn husk fibers. Based in Kenya, she is a former mobile journalist turned inventor.

• Miriam Davidovic is the Co-founder & CEO of RAZ Finance, a blockchain technology that verifies the origin and authenticity of impact-financial data across unalterable timelines. Originating from Serbia, she works as a project leader in the impact-financial data management field, with wide experience in corporate governance, impact measurement, and policy advisory.

• Miriam Janke is the Co-founder & CMO of Trilleco, a 3D IoT sustainability platform that helps companies to get data transparency and transform their sustainability footprint. Based in Germany, she is a climate advocate with a passion for data and circular economy. Moreover, she serves as a speaker and responsible leader at the BMW foundation. 

• Polina Vasilenko is the Founder & CEO of Heliorec, a floating solar technology to transform unused water space into a home for clean energy generation. Strong believer in renewables and mentor in Women in Tech, she is a passionate environmental entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector. 

• Alejandra Alfaro is the Co-founder & CMO of BioEsol, a startup providing energy intelligence software and an AI-driven energy storage system for enterprises. Mexico-based, she has a vast experience in administrative and commercial management, collaborating with global companies, and is also actively involved in the Mexican Association of Women Heads of Business.

• Charlotte Ledoux is the Co-founder & CEO of Vallai, a Saas startup that enables the creation of ecosystems of organizations collaborating securely on data & AI. Originating from France, she started her career in consulting and decided to move a step forward and build her own startup based on her passion for data & AI. She also built the community Paris Data Ladies to give a voice to women in tech.

• Lori Goff is the Co-founder & CEO of Outlander Materials, a biotech company transforming waste from beer production into novel non-plastic materials. Alchemist from Nebraska, she studied biotechnology in the U.S. and advised circular startups on their scientific process. Today, she leads scientific development and acts as a versatile expert at the head of her team.

• Christelle Belin is Co-founder & COO of Sustainsoft, a SaaS software that helps companies measure, monitor and communicate their CSR strategy. Born in France, she did engineering studies and worked as a project manager in various construction and real estate firms. Later, she specialized in sustainability and decided to start her entrepreneurial journey to have a real impact on society.
