Verticals
Where domain expertise meets founders solving hard problems in complex industries.
Inside the Health Vertical
Healthcare remains too fragmented and difficult to navigate. Healthcare economics will require fundamental changes in approach, focused on preventative care and triaging and offloading care prior to hospital systems. Our priority investment areas include healthcare robotics and automation, where low-cost, collaborative hardware and advanced computer vision are lowering the capital required to build functional prototypes. We are particularly interested in critical, non-surgical bottlenecks such as automated blood-drawing stations, sterile processing, and autonomous clinical logistics. We are interested in TechBio, where biology is transitioning from a discipline of discovery to one of engineering and where multimodal foundation models, automated wet labs, and declining DNA synthesis costs are changing what can be built at the earliest stages. An aging population is going to demand a fundamentally different set of healthcare services, creating a need for companies that make care meaningfully better for patients and clinicians, whether by expanding access, giving time back to providers, bringing more care into the home, or improving how people manage chronic conditions and aging. We invest in businesses that solve real problems in ways that become harder to copy over time. The strongest have clinical credibility, regulatory depth, proprietary data, or deep workflow integration. We are especially drawn to founders who know the problem firsthand and are building around how care actually works.
